- A Core Committee has been set up by the Election Commission to identify learning, experiences, shortcomings from recent Poll-gone States of Bihar, Assam, Kerala, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and UT of Puducherry. The Secretary-General of the Commission will be the head of the committee.
- An official mobile application has been launched by the Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana for journalists. Journalists will be benefited by using this application to cover the Supreme Court proceedings in a responsible and fairway from the safety and comfort of their homes.
- Hospitality company OYO will be transferring to a 4-day workweek. A no-questions-asked flexible infinite paid leaves initiative was also launched by the company.
- on 13 May 2021, The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) informed that S Balachandran has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Suriname. At present, Balachandran is the Consul General of India in Jaffna.

- The Chhattisgarh government took a decision to launch the ‘Chhattisgarh Mahtari Dular Yojna’ for children who have lost parents to COVID-19. As per the scheme, The Govt will pay a stipend of Rs 500/month to such children from classes 1 to 8 and Rs 1,000 per month from classes 9 to 12.
